Candle Care

To ensure optimal burning and longevity of your soy-blend candle with a wood wick, follow these candle care instructions:

Trim the Wick: Before lighting the candle for the first time, trim the wood wick to approximately 1/8 inch.** Trim the wick before each subsequent use to prevent excessive smoke and maintain a clean burn. **Note: Your candle has already been trimmed upon receipt.

First Burn: Allow the candle to burn until the wax melts and pools to the edges of the container. This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn in future uses. This may take a few hours, so be patient.

Burn Time: Avoid burning the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Excessive burning can cause the container to become too hot and may affect the quality of the burn.

Extinguishing the Flame: Use a proper candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame to extinguish the candle. This helps prevent hot wax from splattering.

Wood Wick Maintenance: If the wood wick becomes too long or starts to mushroom, trim it to the recommended length before relighting. This helps maintain a clean and efficient burn.

Keep the Wax Pool Clean: Remove any debris, such as wick trimmings, from the wax pool before lighting the candle again.

Candle Placement: Place the candle on a heat-resistant surface and away from drafts to ensure an even burn. Avoid placing the candle in direct sunlight.

Storage: Store the candle in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and heat sources.

Following these candle care instructions will help you enjoy a longer-lasting and more consistent burn from your soy-blend candle with a wood wick.
